Lucille A. Wasikowski, 83, of Sturgis, passed away Monday June 3, 2024 at Thurston Woods Village.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sturgis, MI. Interment will follow at Snow Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 4-6:00, following with Rosary at 6:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Lucille was born February 22, 1941 to Earnest and Carrie (Olney) Bower in Rose City, MI. She married Adam M. Wasikowski May 5, 1962. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2010. Lucille was a homemaker, raising her 9 children during her lifetime. Lucy was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson for over 40 years. She loved gardening, camping, watching NASCAR, and taking trips to the casino. Most of all, Lucille loved spending time with her family and listening to George Strait.
Lucille is survived by her children, Faustina (Bill) McClanahan of Fremont, Douglas (Nichole Eckert) Balle of Sturgis, Steven Wasikowski of Bronson, Katarina-Carolyn (Jason) Safran of Davidson, NC, Theresa (DeWain) DeCaire of Grand Haven, Edward Wasikowski of Quincy, Luke Wasikowski of Quincy, Amanda Wasikowski of Athens; her 18 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Lucille was preceded in death by her daughter Marlene Wasikowski, and her 3 brothers, Fred Bower, Ned Bower, and Wilbur Bower.
