COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – One of two Fort Wayne men who were apprehended last November in Waterloo, Indiana after a pair of recreational travel trailers were stolen from Bish’s RV in Coldwater was arraigned last Tuesday in Branch County District Court.
21-year-old Nicholas Shanyfelt is facing a Branch County charge of Larceny over $20,000 in connection with the theft.
A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf and bond was set at $1,000. If he posts bond, Shanyfelt was told he would have to stay off of the Bish R.V. property.
The suspects were arrested after Indiana State Police, the Coldwater Police Department and other police agencies got involved in the search for them.
Both were alleged to have run away from the traffic stop in Indiana. One was apprehended in a farm field while the other was located in a wooded area.
Shanyfelt was charged with four counts in Dekalb County, Indiana including charges of Auto Theft and Resisting Law Enforcement.
