BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – A week long heat wave is expected to finally end on Saturday.
A heat advisory that was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday is scheduled to expire at 8:00 p.m. Saturday night.
Forecasters are calling for highs in the low 90’s on Saturday. Cooler temperatures are expected on Sunday with highs in the low 80’s.
Coldwater’s high temperatures as recorded at the Branch County Memorial Airport have been at 90 degrees or above on four of the last five days.
Friday’s high was 91 degrees with the heat index topping out at 98.
Thursday was the hottest day of the week as the high hit a scorching 93. The heat index topped out at 99.
The high hit 92 on Monday, 88 on Tuesday and 90 on Wednesday.
