Roland Dale Kriser, 76, of Coldwater passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at his home in Coldwater.
In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Coldwater Eagles.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
He was born June 18, 1948 to Dale and Retha (Carpenter) Kriser in Coldwater, MI. Roland was a graduate of Coldwater High School and on December 22, 1988 he married Carol Royer in Coldwater and she survives.
He served as a dedicated member of the Coldwater Eagles, the Moose Lodge, the UAW Local 190 Plumbers & Pipe fitters, and most proudly as a Licensed Thoroughbred Horse Trainer. From east of the Mississippi River to Michigan and all down the east coast to Florida, Roland had trained and raced horses, making it not only a career but a lifestyle.
Alongside horse racing, Roland valued nothing more than his family and sharing his pastime with those he loved most. He will be dearly missed as cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend.
In addition to his wife Carol Kriser of Coldwater, Roland leaves behind his children Todd (Kara) Kriser of Coldwater, Amy (Todd) Gordon of Colon; his brother Ivan Kriser of Girard; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Leon Kriser.
