BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Fourth of July falls on a Thursday this year so you will have a chance to catch multiple fireworks shows around the Branch County area.
With the work on the new bleachers at Alumni Field all but finished, Union City’s annual fireworks show returns on Wednesday night. The Union City fireworks have always been held on the night of July 3.
Last year’s show could not be held at Alumni Field because of construction. Union City fireworks were held last year as part of the 100 Dam Years celebration of the Riley Dam.
Coldwater’s fireworks are set for the evening of July 4 at Heritage Park.
The Marble Chain of Lake fireworks show will be held on Friday, July 5.
Coldwater Lake, Lake George and Pokagon State Park will have their shows on Saturday, July 6.
The Lake George Boat Parade will be held on July 6 at 6:30 p.m. prior to the start of the fireworks show. The theme this year is Decades.
More firework shows in Branch County will take place after the long holiday weekend.
Butler Motor Speedway plans to have their annual fireworks show on Saturday, July 13.
Bronson’s fireworks will take place during Polish Festival Days on Friday, July 19.
