Deanna Joy Hobart, 83, of Coldwater passed away Saturday January 20, 2024, at Grand Vista II Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Coldwater with Mother Diane Pike officiating. Interment of ashes will follow at St. Mark’s Memorial Garden.
Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Deanna was born September 4, 1940, to Marvel and Wava (Bronson) Mast in Coldwater, MI. She married Frederick Hobart on August 19, 1961, in Coldwater.
Deanna worked as an office administrator at Nichols Accounting in Coldwater for many years.
Deanna was a life-long member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. As a member of the church, she devoted much time to managing the Nearly New Resale Shop. She was a member of St. Mary’s Guild, the Outreach Commission, the Vestry, and was the past Assistant Treasurer of the church. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Coldwater Garden Club, and volunteered for the American Red Cross.
Deanna enjoyed walking and dancing. Together with her husband they taught Country Western Dance for many years. Deanna enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a forever fan of the Detroit Tigers and was a devoted wife to the life of sports through her husband Fred.
Deanna is survived by her husband, Fred Hobart of Coldwater, her daughter Christie (David) Pietrzak of Harrison Twp., MI; her grandchildren Alyssa (Jack) Raymond and Eric Pietrzak; and her great grandson Samuel Raymond. Deanna was preceded in death by her son Rick Hobart.
Memorial may be directed to the Humane Society of Branch County.
