DUESSELDORF, Germany (Reuters) – England and Switzerland went to extra time in their Euro 2024 quarter-final match on Saturday, with the scores level at 1-1 after two late goals and neither side able to find a winner.
Breel Embolo put Switzerland ahead after 75 minutes when he poked home from close range after John Stones failed to clear, and Bukayo Saka equalised for England five minutes later with a brilliant strike in off the far post.
The winning side will meet either Netherlands or Turkey, who play each other later on Saturday.
