EDWARDSBURG, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School boys varsity soccer team improved its record to 2-3 on the season with a 1-0 non-conference win at Edwardsburg Wednesday night.
After scoreless first half, the Cardinals got the lone goal of the game with 25:45 to play in the second half from Dawood Gabry, assisted by Sebastian Ocampo.
Edwardsburg outshot Coldwater 10-6 in a game dominated by defense. Franky Ramos made five saves in goal for the Cardinals second shutout of the year.
Coldwater now has the weekend off and will return to action Tuesday at home against Niles. That night will also feature the unveiling of a new sign at the soccer field during halftime of the Varsity game recognizing record holders from both the boys and girls programs.
The Coldwater JV team beat Edwardsburg 3-1 Wednesday.
