Barbara J. Green, 76, of Quincy, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at The Laurels of Coldwater.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Bronson Cemetery with Mike Smith officiating.
Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Barbara was born October 8, 1947, in Coldwater, MI to Obert & Erma (Cornell) Burch.
Barb worked at the former Carriage Inn Convalescent Center for 18 years. She then went to work for Syntech Plastics in Sturgis, retiring in July of 2003.
After her retirement, she was able to do what she loved most; being an aunt and grandma to her family. Barb was an avid reader and loved to share good books with others. She was a NASCAR fan, loved animals, especially dogs, and never missed a Westminster Dog Show.
She was an excellent seamstress, sewing many items and projects for her family. She also loved to knit, making Christmas stockings for everyone. If you were lucky enough to receive one, you knew you were official.
Barb is survived by her daughter Cherie (Kenneth) Struble of Quincy; her siblings Daniel Burch of Angola, IN, Obie (Kathy) Burch of Detroit, her bonus siblings Gus & Val Charlier of Coldwater; her granddaughter Krysta Struble of Bronson; her great granddaughter Erma Struble; many nieces and nephews and special caregivers who were like family from the Laurels.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband LaMoine Green, her siblings John (Sue) Burch, Erma Lytle, Karen Burch, and her nephew Randy Lytle.
Memorials may be directed to the family to help with expenses.
