BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Two of the bigger events that take place in Branch County during the autumn are set for Saturday.
The eighth edition of Pints in the Park will be held at the Village of Quincy Park. The event started in 2016 and Village Manager Brittney Butler says has turned into one of the more anticipated and popular events in the area.
Pints in the Park will once again feature craft beers, Michigan wines, food vendors, live music and a home brew competition. The event is designed to promote Michigan wineries, distilleries and breweries as well as the Quincy community.
It also raises money to help support the development of youth recreational projects in the Village of Quincy.
Meanwhile, the Green Thumb Garden Club in Union City will be hosting Farm to Fork on Saturday. The Garden Club is taking over the hosting duties after the Union City Chamber of Commerce disbanded earlier this year.
Locally sourced and roasted meat will be provided during the free pot luck meal in downtown Union City which will be served between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.. Those who attend are being asked to bring a pot luck dish not requiring heat and your own chair.
There will be plenty of activities starting at 12:30 p.m. including pedal pulls for anyone over the age of three. There will also be face and pumpkin painting and a kid’s corn pit.
Union City’s 2024 Citizens of the Year William Avery, Kenneth Brooks, and Delores Wasikowski will be honored at 5:45 p.m. followed by the Linda Waite Memorial Pie Auction.
Live Music by the Delbert Walling Group will start at 7:00 p.m.. Farm to Fork has celebrated the area’s agricultural community since it started in 2017.
