Vivian L. Hutchins, 104, of Quincy, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
According to Vivian’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 25, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Shooks Prairie Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy.
She was born December 28, 1919 in Quincy Township to Irvin and Lula (Thompson) Strang. Wivian married Leland Hutchins on August 10 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1983.
Vivian graduated from Quincy High School in 1937. She worked for some time at Hillsdale Manufacturing Company in Hillsdale during WWII. She then quit to raise her family. Vivian enjoyed cooking, sewing and her family. She was an avid NASCAR fan.
Vivian is survived by three daughters, Barbara Jean Hutchins of Quincy, Janet Ford of Litchfield, Loraine Jansen of Quincy; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Leland, Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Dorothy Rogers and three brothers, George, Harold and Richard Hutchins.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Humane Society of Branch County.
