BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – Due to the lack of Democratic Party candidates, there will be no contested races for Branch County offices in next Tuesday’s general election.
Republicans running unopposed are Prosecutor Zach Stempien, Fred Blankenship for Sheriff, County Clerk Terry Kubasiak, County Treasurer Steven Rutz, Register of Deeds Nyci DeLoach, Drain Commissioner Mike Hard and Surveyor Ed Reed.
Blankenship defeated two other candidates in the August G.O.P. Primary.
Also running unopposed are Republican County Commissioners Tim Stoll, Randall Hazelbaker, Jon Houtz, Rick Hollister and Alan McClellan.
Hazelbaker, Houtz, Hollister and McClellan are on the November ballot after winning primary races in August.
