COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The American Public Power Association presented multiple awards last week to the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities, including two Excellence in Public Power Communications Awards and a Smart Energy Provider designation.
First, CBPU’s Community Engagement Department and Energy Efficiency Departments were recognized with an Award of Excellence in Print & Digital Communication for their Earth Month campaign.
The Community Engagement Department also received an Award of Excellence in Web & Social Media for their Strawberry Fest Campaign.
Community Engagement Coordinator Stephanie Burdick said, “I love that our marketing department has made the shift to community engagement. It’s more than just marketing – It’s about building relationships with schools, businesses, and community members. It’s been great making those connections and coming up with fun ways to engage. Receiving these awards is the icing on the cake!”
Finally, the CBPU once again earned a Smart Energy Provider designation from the American Public Power Association. The SEP designation now lasts for three years.
The awards were presented at the annual Customer Connections Conference in Louisville, Kentucky.
