COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Board of Directors approved a quote of just under $204,000 from Spring City Lighting Wednesday night for the installation and upgrading of lighting for the parking areas and trails at Waterworks Park.
The lights are being installed as part of the Waterworks Park Improvement Project.
CBPU Electric Superintendent John Springhall says the City and the CBPU have decided to make this decorative light and pole a standard for all park projects.
Two quotes were submitted. Spring City Lighting’s quote was almost $175,000 less than one submitted by Sternberg Lighting.
Springhall said the quotes met the industry RP-8 lighting standard and provide provisions for an electrical outlet.
