Steven Brown, 70, of Homer, MI, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at his home after fighting his long term illness.
In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place with a celebration of his life to be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
He was born June 6, 1954 to Banford and Julia (Issac) Brown in Coldwater, MI. June 30, 1990 Steve married Carol Tower in Coldwater, MI and she survives.
Steven worked with the Midwest Foundry for nearly 20 years and then the local bowling alley until his retirement. In his younger years,
Steven enjoyed golfing, softball, hunting, fishing, camping and his once-a-year trip to the Kenton Flea Market. Above all else, Steven loved and cherished his family and the time he shared with them.
In addition to his wife of 45 wonderful years, Carol Brown of Homer, Steve is survived by his children Travis Brown, Dakota Brown both of Homer; his sister Juanita (Stan) Barry of Quincy that he loved so much; his very special friend that was like a brother, Bill Magley of Florida; and his many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He as preceded in death by his parents Banford and Julia Brown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Steve would also like to thank his old friend Craig Swell who reached out to him and made many phone calls and visits.
