Patricia L. Behnke, 86, of Coldwater passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Northern Lakes Nursing Home in Angola.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary of Assumption Church with Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Interment will take place following the mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Tuesday November 26, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Deacon John Wielgos.
Patricia was born October 18, 1938, to Frank and Josephine (Hudson) Ratkowski in Bronson, MI. She married Donald Behnke on June 22, 1963, in Bronson.
Pat worked for Douglas Autotech and cleaned houses for many years. She was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church, a former member of St. Charles Borromeo, a part of the women’s guild,a TOPS member for over 10 years, and a longtime member of Bronson’s Child Study Club.
She was a Girl Scouts leader for many years and volunteered for the Boy Scouts. Pat was also an avid Michigan State University fan.
She loved to travel, playing cards with her lake friends, and sitting on the deck watching the boats and kids play in the water. Pat was a social butterfly; she would always make friends wherever she went.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Donald Behnke of Coldwater; her children Jim (Nancy) Behnke of Angola, IN, Gregg (Bethanne) Behnke of Coldwater, Jill Behnke of Coldwater; and her grandchildren Ashley Behnke, Brendan Behnke, and Bryant Behnke.
In lieu of flowers,memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Assumption Church for their boiler project, or to charity of one’s choice.
