COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – John Pollack has been making his final reports as Branch County Sheriff to various government boards in recent weeks as he gets ready to leave office.
Pollack appeared before the Coldwater City Council this past Monday night and tried to dispel recent talk about the new Branch County Jail.
He said after 12 years, night patrols returned on October 1.
Pollack said this past summer was busy on the lakes after a slow start. It included the arrest of two Fort Wayne residents who were charged in connection with a August 3 fatal boating crash on Coldwater Lake.
Pollack will be retiring at the end of December. Long time Jail Captain Fred Blankenship will take over as Sheriff on January 1, 2025.
