Vicki Sue Ingersoll, 73, of Athens passed away Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Bronson Battle Creek, following a long battle with cancer.
Following cremation, a gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation, 1276 Tate Trail, Union City, MI 49094.
A private interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Union City at a later date.
Vicki was born on January 19, 1951 to Rex and Roberta (Fredenburg) Hoenes in Coldwater, Michigan. She graduated from Union City High School with the Class of 1969.
December 13, 1969, Vicki married Doc Rosenberry and together they had three children: Rob, and twins Robin and Roberta. The marriage ended in divorce. Vicki would later marry Richard Ingersoll on January 19, 1997, at the United Methodist Church in Athens.
Vicki worked at Dancers Department Store, Harding’s Market in Union City, and Hurst Market in Athens. Later she worked at Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation assisting with visitations, luncheons, and cleaning needs.
Vicki enjoyed knitting, reading, watching Desperate Housewives, cleaning, cooking, cardio drumming, and riding Harley Davidsons. While in high school she was a majorette, fire baton twirler. Vicki and Rich attended Wakeshma Community Church in Fulton where she helped with the funeral luncheons.
In addition to her husband of 27 years, Richard, Vicki is survived by her mother Roberta Hoenes; her children, Rob (Jamie Miller) Rosenberry, Robin (Kevin) Haley, and Roberta (Tad Curtis) Rosenberry; her step children, Angela (Major) Harris, Richell (Gregg) Fracassi, and Jami (Pat) Carpenter; grandchildren, Rilee Rosenberry, Taylor Curtis, Leah Corey, Josh Fracassi, Kelsey Harris, Tyler Fracassi, Megan VanOosten, Jonah Harris, Emmitt Fracassi, Chelsea Cottrill, and Connor Carpenter; her great-grandchildren, Zach, Brayden, Maxon, Hailey, McKenna, Lennox, Noah, Maddison, Jordan and Isla; her brother Earl (Lucette) Hoenes, her sister Wendy (Christopher) Craig, her sister-in-law Dawn Hoenes, and her brother-in-law Frank Delia.
Vicki was preceded in death by her father Rex; brother Don Hoenes; sister Judy Swartzle, and her nephew Rod Hoenes.
