COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – After getting a make over last spring, Santa and his reindeer are riding high above the Four Corners in downtown Coldwater once again.
The city’s historic holiday decorations consisting of the large Santa Claus and his nine reindeer were transported to Bronner’s Christmas Shop in Frankenmuth for restoration and fiberglass repair last spring.
Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker told the City Council back in May the decorations were starting to show their age.
Crews from the Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Electric Department put up the new and improved decorations on Wednesday morning.
The city has a holiday decoration fund at the Branch County Community Foundation. The money is used to help offset maintenance costs and refurbish or replace worn out decorations.
