BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – After getting a grant from the State of Michigan back in July, the Bronson City Council approved the construction of a new playground at Kiwanis Park on Monday night.
City Manager Brandon Mersman said the cost of the project will be covered by the nearly $74,000 MSHDA Mi Neighborhood Public Amenity Grant.
Mersman said the updated playground will be built around the existing swing set and springers to maximize the play area. Installation is tentatively scheduled for next week.
In other business, the Council held a public hearing to gather comments about the possibility of Bronson City Hall going to a four day a week schedule with extended hours similar to what the Village of Quincy offers its residents.
No action was taken on Monday but Mersman is expected to bring back some options for the Council to look at.
