COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – A fire in an HVAC unit on the roof of Asama Manufacturing on Asama Parkway in Coldwater broke out on Friday morning.
The fire was reported at 7:13 a.m.. It was contained to the roof area and no major damage or injuries were reported.
Employees were allowed back inside less than hour after the fire was reported.
Coldwater, Quincy and Bronson firefighters were called to the scene as temperatures hovered around five degrees above zero. Life Care Ambulance was called up to stand by.
An Automatic Mutual Aid Agreement between the Coldwater Fire Department and the Bronson Area Fire Association similar to a 2020 agreement with the Quincy Fire Department was approved in September by the Coldwater City Council.
