COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The on going problem of filling all of the full time positions at Branch County Central Dispatch continues.
Branch County 911 Director Bob Swick told the 911 Communications Board on Wednesday they will soon be down to five full time dispatchers.
A full staff would consist of 11 dispatchers. Swick explained to the board how shorthanded Central Dispatch has been.
Swick said wages was not the reason behind the latest departure. He said the person leaving wanted to work better hours.
The job openings for dispatchers continues to be posted on the county’s web site countyofbranch.com.
The pay range is between $18 and $20.51 an hour with the first step increase at six months of employment
Swick added they hope to have a Facebook page in the future that they can use as a recruiting tool.
