COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Branch County Board of Commissioners will meet for the first time in 2025 when they hold their annual Organizational Meeting on Tuesday, January 7 at 11:00 a.m..
It will be the first meeting for newly elected Fourth District Commissioner Rick Hollister. Randall Hazelbaker, Jon Houtz, Alan McClellan and Tim Stoll all return for another term after they were re-elected.
All five commissioners are scheduled to be sworn in by Branch County Clerk Terry Kubasiak before the meeting.
The commissioners will then select a board chair and vice chair.
The Commissioners are also expected to decide if they want to continue with the current meeting schedule.
Regular meetings have been held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 4:30 p.m. with work sessions being held on the Thursdays before a regular meeting.
It will also be the first County Commissioners meeting for new Branch County Administrator Frank Walsh.
