COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater City Manager Keith Baker says work on the first phase of the Rotary Park project is expected to start sometime this spring.
He says the recent awarding of a $400,000 D.N.R. grant has allowed them to begin planning for the second phase of the project.
Besides the Rotary Park project, Baker says renovation work is scheduled to take place on several downtown buildings during 2025.
Baker says a couple of state grants will allow the city to perform a full reconstruction of North Clay Street between Grand Street to just north of Century Bank and Trust and to finish work on Butters Avenue.
Work is scheduled for Butters between Race Street and Garfield Avenue. Construction is scheduled to take place during the summer. Butters Avenue was repaved from U.S. 12 to Race Street in August of 2023.
