COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Possible changes regarding the City of Coldwater’s Zoning Ordinance for temporary and downtown signs were scheduled to be discussed once again during Monday night’s Coldwater Planning Commission meeting but the meeting was cancelled during the afternoon.
City Clerk Shauna Chavez said the meeting was cancelled “due to unforeseen circumstances.”
City officials have been told by consultants from McKenna and Associates that modifications to regulations pertaining to those types of signs were in need of review.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Planning Commission during a half hour discussion in November they had been planning to do this after recent Supreme Court rulings.
Senior Planner Kyle Mucha from McKenna said for now they wanted to focus on temporary signs.
