ANGOLA, IN (WTVB) – As cases of influenza and other upper respiratory illnesses surge across the area, Cameron Memorial Community Hospital is setting new protocols aimed at mitigating the spread of these illnesses within their facilities.
At the main Hospital in Angola, up to two visitors over the age of 12 are permitted at a time per patient.
In the Medical Office Building (MOB) and off-site clinics, there are no specific visitor restrictions, but patients are encouraged to limit guests when possible.
Exceptions to the restrictions may be granted for end-of-life situations and other special circumstances.
Universal masking is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged throughout the hospital and other Cameron locations to help reduce the spread of upper respiratory illnesses.
