COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – 14 West LLC, also known as Jeannie’s Diner, has successfully completed its Façade Restoration Initiative and they have been given a reimbursement check for $27,500 from the Coldwater Main Street Board.
The project was funded through a grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation alongside matching funds from Coldwater Main Street.
Key renovations include:
*Removal, repair, and reinstallation of wood windows
*Power washing and tuck-pointing
*Brick replacement and updated paint
*Stucco and wood repairs
*New vinyl windows at the rear entrance
*Awning cleaning
Coldwater Main Street President Michael Caywood said “Main Street is committed to historic preservation and supporting local businesses. Offering the FRI grant helps us do both. We are glad to support comprehensive improvements like those made by the Wood family.”
The Façade Restoration Initiative is funded by a $75,000 grant from the M.E.D.C. and $37,500 in matching funds from Coldwater Main Street.
Other projects at 5 South Monroe and 40 South Hanchett are set to be completed this year.
