William (Bill) Ernest Bryant passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025 in Coldwater, MI.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater, MI.
Bill was born August 13, 1952 in Mt. Pleasant, MI to Ernie and Monica (Ackerman) Bryant of Clare, MI. Bill married Glenda Doin on December 29,1973 sharing 51 years of marriage.
He was a prison guard with Lakeland Correctional Facility in Coldwater where he ultimately retired after 25 + years of dedicated service and had also served as a member of the Coldwater Eagles.
A natural adventurer, Bill loved traveling, bike riding, and hiking. He was an avid reader and was often joined by a cat.
Bill lived for his family and was known for his goofy sense of humor. He supported them and made them laugh at every opportunity. He was as weird as he was hilarious, brilliant and a cave man, aged, yet with the soul of a mischievous child. He was a magnificent father.
Bill is survived by his wife Glenda Bryant of Coldwater; his two children Tom Bryant of Middleville, MI, Seven (Andrew) Mattes of Lansing, MI; his sisters Diane Stanley of Niceville, FL, Vicki (Mark) Hampton of Ocala, FL, Colleen Lusk of Mt. Pleasant, MI; his many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat Katy.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
