COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – With the summer boating season coming soon, the Coldwater Lake Association is hosting their first boater safety class of the year this Saturday, March 22 from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at the Coldwater Lake Association building.
Branch County Marine Patrol will be instructing the class, and there are still some seats open.
Under state law, those born on or after July 1, 1996 must have a boater safety certificate to operate a boat. Those born on or after December 31, 1978 must have a boater safety certificate to operate a personal watercraft.
The class is free to attend and lunch will be provided by Bent Prop Pub.
The Coldwater Lake Association will be hosting two more boater safety classes throughout 2025. Those classes will also take place at the Coldwater Lake Association building, located at 514 Warren Road, Coldwater.
