QUINCY, MI (WTVB) – A new report from the Michigan Department of Education puts Quincy High School in the top 10 in the state for graduation rates last school year.
Grosse Ile Township Schools in Wayne County was the only district with 100-plus seniors to graduate 100% of its students. There were 20 other smaller districts with less than 100 seniors that had a 100% graduation rate.
Quincy was eighth in the state with a graduation rate of 98.04% for the 2023-2024 academic year. That’s up from 89.22% the previous year.
The report showed the Coldwater High School graduation rate was 82.78% for 2023-2024, down from 90.28% in 2022-2023. The Bronson High School graduation rate last year was 93.44%, while Union City High School was 83.72% and Tekonsha High School was 88%.
Geographically, the majority of the best performing districts in the state were in southeast Michigan and suburban Grand Rapids.
The statewide graduation rate in 2024 was 82.83%
