Craig Lee Donbrock, 79, of Coldwater passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
A celebration of Craig’s life will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
The family will receive guests for visitation that morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of sharing by family and friends at 12:00 p.m.
In accordance with his wish, cremation has taken place.
Born October 22, 1945 in Coldwater to Harold and Dorothy (Yoder) Donbrock, Craig was a man of quiet strength, dedication, and unwavering love for his family.
August 1, 1981 he found his lifelong partner in Betty Lou Richards in South Bend, IN, and together they built a life filled with warmth and cherished memories.
Craig dedicated 30 years of hard work to Phillips Steel in Coldwater, retiring with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
An avid outdoorsman, Craig found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Yet, his greatest joy was undoubtedly his family. He treasured every moment spent with them, creating a legacy of love that will endure.
Craig leaves behind his beloved wife, Betty Lou Donbrock of Coldwater, and his children: David (Kristin) Donbrock of Portland, MI, Nora Lynn (Jimmy) Grimm of Rochester, IN, Russell (Pam) Scheetz of Coldwater, Taylor “Kerry” (Lance) Avery of Smyrna, GA, Ryan (Michelle) Scheetz of Coldwater, and Penny (Ben Aune) Scheetz of Atlanta, GA. He leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Jason, Stacey, Cory, Darci, Kara, Emma, Ashley, Emily, Chloe, Madison, Riley, Reya, and Julia, his late grandson Chirs’ wife along with 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved cats, Mittens and Dolly and his dogs, Tyson, and Rusty
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, his son Tom Donbrock, and his grandson Chris Grimm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Aid of Branch County.
