COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The recent 10th anniversary open house celebration at the Dr. Robert W. Browne Aquatic Center in Coldwater drew an estimated 300 people who enjoyed a day of free activities, including a mermaid appearance, information from local swim teams, and two complimentary water aerobics classes.
The aquatic center, owned by the City of Coldwater but operated by the Coldwater Community Schools, is now under the management by Hampton Aquatics. With the transition, the facility has introduced consistent hours and a simplified price structure.
The center has also expanded its swim lesson offerings, providing year-round classes for all ages, from infants as young as six months to adults. Registration is currently open for April and May courses, with scheduling information available at hamptonaquatics.com.
Additionally, the Barracuda Swim Club, open to all kids in Branch County ages 5-18, provides swim team opportunities as well as training for young swimmers looking to improve their skills.
