Cleo J. VanWormer, 85, of Union City passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at her home in Coldwater.
A service will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Terry Siler officiating.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery following the service.
Cleo was born August 27, 1939, to Warden and Nellie (Wagers) Holland in Manchester, Kentucky. She married Hershel VanWormer on June 6, 1977.
Cleo worked at Midwest Foundry and Bundy Tubing for 15 years before retiring. After her retirement she worked at Elias Brothers Big Boy for 10 years. Cleo enjoyed playing Bingo and gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their sports games and events.
Cleo is survived by her husband of 46 years, Hershel VanWormer; her children James (Robin Hanson) Stewart, Melisa Stewart-Lovis, Abby Cox, Nella Mae (Michael) Lowinski, Vanessa (Randy Linton) VanWormer, Michael (April) VanWormer all of Coldwater; her siblings Mearl Holland, Joann Osborne, and Louise Haubold all of Coldwater; her grandchildren Brooke Day, Tyler Stewart, Travis Osborne, Brandon Schuler, Jessica Mack, Tiffany Stewart, Gary Stewart, Austin Stewart, Derek Baker, Christina Baker, Randall Linton, Haley Beckhusen, Alysia VanWormer, Zander VanWormer, Keristin Alexander; many great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; her Aunt Annalee Jackson; and cousins Betty Carol Jackson and Jewelene Walters.
Cleo was preceded in death by her siblings Phronia Holland, Earl Holland, Lucy Osborne, Blanch Holland, and Lois Jackson.
