Amanda H. Bawden, 49, of Quincy passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Amanda was born June 17, 1975 in Lapeer, MI to Melvin and Margaret (Penzien) Greenwald. She graduated from Coldwater High School in 1994 and went on to earn her associate’s degree from Kellogg Community College.
Amanda married Kevin L. Bawden May 25, 2001 in Coldwater.
Amanda worked in data processing for many years. She has worked for Southern MI Bank and Trust, Kellogg’s, CNB in Hillsdale and most recently at Hillsdale College.
Amanda had a love of music, playing piano, saxophone and clarinet, she had been active in her high school band. She enjoyed reading, computer games and watching TV and movies. Amanda was very creative; she loved arts, crafts and cross stitching and she held a special place in her heart for her dogs.
Amanda is survived by her husband Kevin; her mother Margaret (Ken) Porter of Clarkrange, TN, her father Melvin Greenwald of Lapeer; her brothers Corey Greenwald of Rochester Hills, Jim Greenwald of Jerome; her step brother Eric (Brandy) Porter; her brother and sisters-in-law John (Joni) Rees, Monica Rees, Donna Sager; nieces and nephew Megan, Morgan, Carrisa, Anna, Lily and Larry; great nephews Royce & Bentlee; her mother-in-law Minnie (Jim) Rees of Tekonsha and her father-in-law Harry Bawden.
Memorials may be directed to the funeral home to help with expenses.
