COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater Board of Public Utilities Director Paul Jakubczak gave a detailed report to the Coldwater City Council Monday night about the previous night’s power outage in parts of the city which took place after a line of severe thunderstorms went through Branch County.
The National Weather Service reported winds in Coldwater gusted as high as 59 miles per hour during the storm. Jakubczak said initially there was very minimal damage to their electrical system but things changed at about 6:20 p.m.

Jakubczak told the Council about their displeasure with ITC over the initial restoration time.
