COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Thousands remain without power due to Sunday’s storms.
Consumers Energy reports nearly 2,000 outages remain in Branch County as of this morning.
Around the area, St. Joseph County has 1,747 without power and 716 in Hillsdale County, while 4,240 customers are in the dark in Jackson County. In Kalamazoo County the number climbs to 6,222 and 8,319 customers out in Calhoun County.
System-wide Consumers says more then 100,000 customers remain in the dark. Many of those in the northern parts of the state that were ravaged by an ice storm over the weekend.
Consumers has more than 700 crews working around the state to get the lights back on.
