COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The City of Coldwater has received a $5,000 offer to buy a vacant lot at 136 South Clay Street where a new home could be constructed.
A resolution and agreement to buy the property was introduced during Monday night’s Coldwater City Council meeting.
City Manager Keith Baker told the Council the site is the former location of a residential structure that was demolished in late 2016 at a cost of $20,775 as part of the city’s effort to remove structures that it finds to be deteriorated beyond rehabilitation at a reasonable cost.
He said at one time the now defunct Branch County Habitat for Humanity was interested in the property.
