Beverly A. Cooper, 95, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday April 2, 2025 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Mason Cemetery with Pastor Mark Case officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the service at the cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.
Beverly was born August 17, 1929, in Battle Creek, MI to Orvil and Elna (Martin) Young. In 1950 she married Richard A. Cooper, Sr. He preceded her in death in 1991. Beverly dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker for many years. In 1997-1998 Beverly started working at K-Mart in Jackson and Coldwater.
Bev was an active member of the Coldwater Wesleyan Church. She was a CYC Leader and Counselor, and Sunday School Teacher. Due to her love and dedication to the church she was known as “Grandma” to all the children she worked with. In her spare time Beverly enjoyed square dancing and was an active member for 20 years in the Battle Creek Square Dancing Club.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Pamala Cooper of Jackson; her sisters Sally Johnson, & Sharon Barnhart; her grandchildren Angela Cooper, Richard A. (Christy) Cooper, III, Greg (Becky) Cooper; her great grandchildren Lucas Stapley, Kameron Cooper, Alanys Cooper, and Bret Hook; her great great grandchildren Brealynn Stapley, and Cullen Stapley.
In addition to her husband, Richard A. Cooper, Sr., Beverly was preceded in death by her son Richard A. Cooper, Jr., her granddaughter Nichole Sours, and brothers Orville Young and Robert Young.
Memorials may be directed to the Maple Lawn Activity Fund.
