COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater City Council approved a recommendation from City Planner Robert Hawley Monday night to award a $70,000 bid from Progressive Companies to update the city’s Master Plan which was adopted in 2017.
Three finalists were interviewed by the Planning Commission on March 3. A majority of Commission members including City Council member Michael Beckwith were impressed with the Progressive Companies presentation.

City Manager Keith Baker pointed out the firm has worked in communities like Coldwater.
Audio PlayerIt’s expected the work to update the Master Plan will take about 14 months to complete.
The city budgeted $20,000 for the work in this fiscal year’s budget. The Michigan State Housing Development Authority has approved a $50,000 grant to help offset the costs.
So. They will change the plan for anything they want to and cash is king!
