BATTLE CREEK, MI (WTVB) – Coldwater traveled to the Binder Park Golf Course on Monday to play in the first Interstate 8 Jamboree of the season. The Cardinals finished in fifth place with a team score of 370; Harper Creek won with a team score of 313.
Sophomore Dracyn Foster led Coldwater with a round of 78, which was good for fourth place individually. Joseph Searls shot a 99, Colten Calhoun had a 103, Braydon Wilkins shot a 105, and Cooper Otto finished with a 109.
The Cardinals will next see action on Thursday at Forest Akers West Golf Course for the PGA Reach Invitational hosted by Hillsdale Academy.

CONCORD, MI – The first Big 8 Jamboree of the season was hosted by Concord Monday at Concord Hills Golf Course. Quincy finished in second place with a team score of 205, which was twelve strokes behind Springport. Bronson finished fourth with a team score of 233, while Union City was sixth with 239.
The Orioles were led by Braylon Estlow, whose round of 45 was good for third place, and Brydan Wible, who tied for fourth place with 48. Mason Czjakowski shot a 55, and Jax Sargent had a 57.
For the Vikings, Drew Shoup and Naz Salesman each shot 57, Clayton Shortridge shot 58, and Layne Arver had a 61.
For the Chargers, Blayne Crance shot a round of 52, which was good for ninth place, while Maxwell Bigelow’s round of 53 was good for tenth. Cal Bigelow shot a 61, and Zane Coppock had a 73.
Bronson will host the next Big 8 Jamboree Thursday at Bella Vista Golf Course.
