COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Since its inception in 2005, the Coldwater High School Music Hall of Fame has inducted 37 members. Next week, three more CHS graduates will be inducted.
Jerry Ford, Class of 1959, was the original founder of the Music Hall of Fame and is a Board Member Emeritus. He began playing cornet in the fourth grade, eventually performing in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, and has served as the Coldwater American Legion Post #52 bugler for the past 41 years.

Jim Dove from the Class of 1970 had his first guitar lesson when he was seven years old, gave it up, then took up the guitar again after seeing The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show when he was ten years old. His first gig with a group of fellow high school students came when he was 16, and he has performing around the country ever since.

Jessie Lillis, who graduated from CHS in 2009, is currently the Producing Artistic Director of Starling Shakespeare Company, which she co-founded in 2020. While at Coldwater High School, Lillis was heavily involved in theatre, band, and choir. She was an active member of Ladies First and Balladiers, served as band drum major from 2007-2009, and was in every high school musical production.

The Music Hall of Fame inductees will be honored Tuesday, April 22 during the Coldwater High School Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
