BOSTON, MA (WTVB) – At least one Branch County resident completed the 129th Boston Marathon Monday.
Desirae Case completed the race with a time of 3:39:24.
The Boston Marathon was run on Patriots’ Day, a holiday in Massachusetts. More than 30,000 runners covered the 26.2 mile course from Hopkinton to Boylston Street in Boston.
John Korir of Kenya won the men’s race well ahead of the pack.
Sharon Lokedi of Kenya won the women’s race and set a new course record.
