SPRINGPORT, MI (WTVB) – The Quincy girls soccer team continued their strong season with a commanding 9-1 road victory over Springport in conference play. Despite an early goal from the Spartans less than two minutes into the match, the Lady Orioles bounced back in dominant fashion.
Kenzi Maynard tied the game 11 minutes in off a pass from Laura Bostic. Just four minutes later, Bostic found the back of the net herself with help from Abby Hinds, swinging momentum in Quincy’s favor. Before the half ended, Hinds netted her first goal of the night, assisted again by Bostic, sending the Orioles into halftime with a 3-1 lead.
The second half was all Quincy. Less than three minutes in, Izzy Barrio set up Bostic for her second goal. The Orioles continued to press, firing shot after shot and capitalizing on two penalty kicks—converted by Abby Hinds and Kenzi Maynard—to cap off the match.
