COLDWATER, MI (WTVB)- Fire crews from several Branch County fire departments spent nearly 5 hours on the scene of a massive fire at Haylett Trailers, 683 East Chicago street last night. The City of Coldwater fire department was dispatched at 8:43 p.m. and quicky called for mutual aid assistance from Quincy, Lakeland and Union Cityg fire departments.
The thick black smoke could be seen bellowing for miles. It took crews nearly 90 minutes to bring the blaze under control but they remained on the scene until 1:30 a.m. morning.
Branch County 911 Central Dispatch says they received 24 calls on the fire in just four minutes.
As of this morning it’s unclear how the fire started but there were no reports of injuries.
