Jolie Jean Yarborough, 47, of Union City passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 7, 2025 in Battle Creek.
In keeping with Jolie’s wishes, she will be cremated and the family will be hosting a celebration of Jolie’s life at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 9066 W Drive South, Union City, MI.
The family is being served by Lighthouse Funeral & Cremation in Union City.
Jolie was born December 19, 1977 in Miami-Dade County, Florida to Eleanor Smith. She moved to Michigan in 1993, and graduated from Pansophia Academy in Coldwater with the Class of 1996.
She married Johnny “Dewayne” Yarborough, Jr. in Columbia, Mississippi July 28, 2001. She loved her in-laws, Johnny Sr. and Linda Yarborough, as if they were her own parents.
Jolie was a lover of life. She was a talented tattoo artist and just loved being outside in nature. Some of her favorite activities were collecting rocks, camping, sitting around a bonfire, and spending time wither her kids and grandkids.
Jolie is survived by her husband, Dewayne; her children; Austin Yarborough of Union City, Alyssa Yarborough of Battle Creek, Brayden (Samara) Yarborough of Battle Creek, and Daenin Yarborough of Union City; her grandchildren, Colson and Theodore Dove of Battle Creek; her mother, Eleanor Smith of Coldwater and her in-laws, Johnny Sr. and Linda Yarborough of Union City; her sister, Sonja Robinson of Coldwater; her aunt Joy Herlan of Sherwood; and her many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
