LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP. MI (WTVB) – More questions than answers surround an investigation by the St Joseph County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies were dispatched to the 17000 block of South River Road in Lockport Township, for a report of an unresponsive individual.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered circumstances that warranted further investigation to determine whether foul play was involved. That investigation remains active and ongoing. The victim, whose name is being withheld at this time, is in critical condition and currently hospitalized. The victim’s family has been notified.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office is requesting that anyone in the area with security cameras, Ring devices, or similar systems review their footage from August 10th, to August 12th,.

This appears to be an isolated incident, and there is no immediate threat to the public. The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Three Rivers Ambulance, Michigan State Police Crime Lab, and Three Rivers Police Department.
