NEWTON TOWNSHIP, MI (WTVB) – Deputies from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics-related search warrant at a residence in the 10000 block of 8 Mile Road in Newton Township.
The warrant was issued after deputies established probable cause based on multiple tips. The Calhoun County Special Response Team conducted the search, which resulted in the recovery of suspected narcotics and a firearm. Several individuals were located at the residence, and arrest warrants will be sought as the investigation moves forward.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by LifeCare Ambulance Authority, Marshall Police Department, Albion Department of Public Safety, and the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP) Tribal Police.
