COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The calendar still says summer but more fall like temperatures have settled in to Branch County this week, so fall like we will be on watch for a possible new record low overnight tonight.
The National Weather Service has a forecasted low of tonight of 45 degrees, that would tie the third lowest low temperature for Coldwater on August 27th, set back in 1986, the second lowest on this date was 42 degrees in 1912 and the all time record low for August 27th was 40 degrees set back in 1916.
Forecasters says temperatures will moderate a bit for the first week of September before another strong cold front could push us back into the 40’s again for a stretch beginning around September 7th.
