COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Economic Development Coordinator Erin Veysey told the Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors on Wednesday morning that two new businesses will be opening soon in the downtown area.
She said one of the businesses is planning to open in a couple of months at 9 South Monroe which is attached to El Taco Loco.
Another is planning to operate out the former Northwoods building at 34 West Chicago. It was previously occupied by Just Win Liquidation until this past June.
No further information on the properties was presented to the board.
Veysey added the sale price for the former Edward Jones office location at 48 West Chicago is now listed at $174,500. The building, which was constructed in 1884, has been on the market since early May after the Edward Jones office moved to a new location on South Division.
Other downtown properties listed in her report as being available included the property at 71 and 73 West Chicago. She said there is a potential interested party looking at that property pending an inspection.

Keith Baker refused to let me rent the 71/73 W Chicago locarion7 years ago and it has been empty every since.
