COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Early Wednesday morning Coldwater Police with the assistance of K9 Murph arrested a man armed with a knife who was wanted for
assault and battery.
Coldwater police were called to an address on Butters Ave, on the City’s west side,
at about 1:47 a.m., where a man reportedly had assaulted a woman and
brandished a knife.
The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. CPD’s K-9 Murph was brought in to locate the suspect, who was found hiding in the brush of a nearby woods.
The unidentified 35-year-old Coldwater man was arrested for Assault and Battery and lodged at the Branch County Jail.
